#1 Choose a sunny location
–at least 8 hours of sun is ideal for tomato plants.
#2 Plant the tomato 6-7 inches deep. (the taller the plant the deeper you can plant)
-this helps the stability of the plant as it produces heavy fruit.
#3 Choose light airy soil to plant in
–this helps the root system develop strong roots.
#4 Use a tomato cage
–This helps the stability of the plant in windy and when the plant produces heavy fruit.
#5 Put newspaper or straw around the base of the plant
-this prevents dirt splashing on the leaves which prevents blight
#6 Wrap newspaper around the stem at the base of the plant up 3”
–This will help prevent cut worms
#7 Fertilize for continuous growth
