Brighten up your holiday meal with this fresh recipe of a holiday classic, Cranberry Sauce. The fresh thyme sets this apart and the honey is a lovey touch.
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/4 honey
- 4 cups fresh cranberries
- Combine water, orange juice, zest, thyme and honey and bring to a slight boil. Stir in cranberries and return to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst, then reduce heat. When desired consistency is reached, remove sprigs and let cool.
Make it your own with some added twists like replacing the water with your favorite red wine or add some of your favorite spices to it like cinnamon or cloves.
